As the title says, this is a wing animation I made for The Succubus in project big. There’s more work I’d like to do on this sprite, so rather than reveal too much, I figured I’d tease this animation. I’m mostly pleased with how this worked out, but I think this would likely be used if she goes from an idle state, to an attack state. If the animation is repeated too quickly, it looks a bit robotic, but I think I’ll only need a few extra frames to fix that up.
As a side note, “project big” is technically the first project I started, but due to the amount of detail I’m putting into the sprites, it would be unwise for it to be the first game I develop. It’s a better choice to start on a low res pixel art project, so that a much smaller percent of the work can go to asset creation, while the rest goes to learning Unity and level building. Hopefully, by the time I’m ready to fully invest in “project big” I’ll have learned enough about developing, that I can take the time to build the assets, and not have to worry about learning how to develop.
It’s been a while since I looked at this sprite, and I feel like I’ve done so well building her, that I almost feel frustrated that I’m not still working on it. As such, I must let that frustration fuel my motivation to pursue game development, I want this to happen more than you could know.
